Bilt Racing Service BRS M96/M97 Billet .5 Quart Finned Deep Sump for Porsche Boxster, Cayman, and 911 models is the newest addition to our line of upgrades designed to improve the durability and reliability of the M96 and M97 engine. Machined in the USA from a solid billet of 6061-T6 aluminum, the BRS half quart deep sump with integral finned sump plate is stronger than the factory cast sump plate and is less susceptible to damage from road hazards that can cause a loss of engine oil and subsequent catastrophic engine damage. The material used has a higher thermal conductivity and benefits from added cooling fins to help reduce engine oil temperature, allowing it to shed heat better than the factory sump plate. Compatible with the factory X51 oil baffle, LN 106-00.6 baffle, or the stock oil baffle. Includes an LN 106-07 magnetic drain plug, oil pickup extension, hardware, and sealant.
